Meeting of Ordinary Assumptionist Priests in the Parish of Saint Monica of Luofu
This Saturday, January 10, 2026, the Assumptionist Priests in the Diocese of Butembo-Beni, held their ordinary meeting in the Parish of Saint Monica of Luofu. It was no longer a question of taking stock of the mission entrusted to them by the local ordinary, Bishop SIKULI PALUKU Melchesedek, on the proposal of their Provincial Superior, the Reverend Father MUSANGANIA KOMBI Jean-Paul. In his message to them, he first thanked them for the sense of solidarity shown by braving not only the distances to reach those of the South, an area occupied by the AFC/M23, but also by overcoming the fear that this occupation causes. In this fraternal tone "Dear parish priests, your parish ministry remains a living testimony of Christ in the heart of the people of God. By your closeness to the faithful, your consistency of life, your availability to listen and support, as well as your commitment to the service of peace and reconciliation, you make the Gospel credible and incarnate in our country tested by endless armed struggles", he also encouraged them to always deploy their energies for a pastoral solidarity of all. In addition to issues of pastoral management and animation, they also took the time to let themselves be aware of the need to start preparing with the faithful of their parishes the Centenary of Assumptionist presence in the Diocese. God be praised for this successful meeting and for the comfort he brought to our fellow condolences from the south through this pastoral presence. Next appointment on the weekend of the third Sunday of Easter in Kyondo.
